Don’t Shy Away From A Project
If you do it might disappear,
Then whatever would you do with yourself,
Year after year after year?

Don’t shy away from a project,
It’s here to make you feel warm inside,
No matter how large or complex,
From it you should not hide,

Don’t shy away from a project,
It exists to bring life to your soul,
If you have a purpose in life,
Only then can you begin to feel whole.

Don’t shy away from a project,
Even if the taste it gives you is bitter,
Life is not made up of all good things,
Sometimes there is less reward in sugar than litter.

Don’t shy away from a project,
Never answer a call with a maybe,
An orphan needs a watcher,
There is no room for “That’s not my baby!”

Don’t shy away from the project,
Let it fill your heart, your soul, your coffer,
Open your mind to its whims
There is so much it has to offer.
An imperfect poem for submission to this week's #Live-Love-Write prompt. It was nice to start something again, although I really would have rather gotten some prose out of this. P: I need to start getting in the speed for Nano again.
